Orange Blossom Honey — The Scent of the Sacred
A delicate floral infusion that soothes and readies the evening.
One 100 g jar5 min + 1 to 2 weeks infusing
Dried petals bring no water: this is a pure infusion, with no fermentation. The neroli of orange blossom gently soothes and prepares for sleep. On an acacia or orange-blossom honey, the harmony is complete.
Ingredients
- 100 g raw acacia honey
- 5 to 8 g dried orange blossom petals (bitter orange)
Method
Soften the honey in a very gentle bain-marie. Add a generous pinch of petals, seal tightly and infuse for one to two weeks. The honey develops a delicate, slightly bitter, beguiling floral scent.
The tip
An evening tisane with a little linden, oriental ladoo, a finish on baked apples, or the welcome water of a retreat: the first gesture of hospitality.
Where I find it
Raw honey. Near-unlimited keeping at room temperature (dry infusion). Glass jar.
